Looking back on 2009, TISCO gone through frustrations and hardships, but also gained a successful harvest and hope. During the year, more than ever we were more deeply felt how important perseverance and persistence were for the development of an enterprise. With perseverance and persistence, in a downturn of the global market, we had created a new milestone for the iron and steel industry, stainless steel production achieved a historic breakthrough, and TISCO became a real sense of the world's largest stainless steel company; we seized the opportunities inherent in crisis and strived to enhance the competitive advantage in the industry chain, the successful implementation of the Turkish chrome ore project made it the largest foreign investment project not only in TISCO but also in Shanxi Province; we fast forwarded TISCO’s upgrading and reforming, structural adjustment and mining resource projects, and actively extended multi-business such as securities, insurance, trade, modern services and etc., all of witch achieved a remarkable success; we initially built a modern green plant harmonious developing with the city, energy-saving emission reduction and recycling economy became a new development mode for company and a new growth point for the effectiveness and competitiveness; we deepen the standard maximization, with the implementation of target Daobi and market Daobi, a group of key economic and technical index created new industry standards, all of witch fully upgraded the company's ability, and made more valuable progress than the profit improvement.
The year 2010 is the key year for restructuring of China's iron and steel industry, and also the key year to accelerate TISCO’s development. We will under the guide of scientific development concept, focus on the development of strategic goal, persist in promoting the "three changes" work idea, unswervingly adhere to the working principle to enhance the sense of responsibility, improve execution and achieve refined management and promote informationization and internationalization, and insist on the work method of "identify the gaps, analyze the causes, clear objectives, introduce measures, and firmly ensure the implementation". We will strengthen our confidence and struggle aggressively to step out a new stride on the journey of building TISCO into a large internationally competitive enterprise groups.
